Apple Computer has reportedly introduced a fresh batch of iPods, including one which is said to have maximum capacity till date. The company said the new iPods would sport video games such as Pac-Man and Tetris.

Speaking at the launch, Steve Jobs, chief executive officer, Apple, said that the world’s best digital music player has now evolved into the world’s most popular portable video player as well. The brighter and more vibrant display and longer battery life of the new iPods make them perfect for watching Hollywood movies and TV shows right in the palm of one’s hand. The new iPods feature Apple’s patented Click Wheel for precise, one-handed navigation, and are integrated with iTunes 7. The new Search and Quick Scroll feature makes it even easier for music fans to find exactly what they are looking for.

Besides, Apple’s patent pending Auto-Sync technology automatically downloads digital music, podcasts, photos, audiobooks, movies, videos, and popular TV shows onto the iPods, keeping them updated whenever plugged into Macs or Windows computers.

The new iPods will be available in a 30GB and an 80GB version. While the 30GB model features up to 14 hours of battery life for music playback and up to three-and-a-half hours of video playback, the 80GB model features up to 20 hours of battery life for music playback and six-and-a-half hours of video playback. The 80GB iPod can hold up to 20,000 songs and up to 100 hours of video. Both new versions feature brightness control, and high-resolution color display – which allows users to view album art and photo slideshows whilst playing music, watching video, or playing games in full color. The company has also unveiled new, thinner iPod Nano models with storage capacities of around 8GB each. The new Nanos will come in five colors, and will feature 24 hours battery life.
